Main ingredients: Cashew nuts and sugar.

Preparation: 25- 30 minutes (approx).

  1. 1 cup cashew nuts/ kaju/ jeedi pappu.
  2. ½ cup sugar.
  3. ¼ cup water.
  4. 1 tsp cardamom pwd.
  5. 1 tsp ghee-for greasing.

PREPARATION:

  1. Grind the cashew nuts to a course powder. Keep aside.
  2. Mean while in a frying pan, boil the water along with cardamom pwd and sugar.
  3. Keep stirring for 5-7 minutes or till the sugar completely melts and the syrup slightly turns thickens.
  4. Now add ground cashew nut pwd and stir continuously for 6-7 minutes or till the mixture comes together.
  5. For checking, take a small piece of dough, it should not be a sticky ball. It should soft ball.
  6. Then it is an exact consistency.
  7. Now pour this mixture on a greased plate and roll the mixture. Now place the butter paper on it and roll again to get a thickness of about 3-4 mm.
  8. Once cool, cut it into diamond shape and store them in an air tight container.
