INGREDIENTS:

  1. 6-8 medium jack fruit segments/ panasa thonalu (remove seeds and cut length wise).
  2. 3 tbsp sugar or as per to taste (it depends on the jack fruits sweetness).
  3. 2-3 tbsp ghee.
  4. ½ tsp cardamom pwd/ elaichi pwd/ yaluka podi.

DRY FRUITS:

  1. A few cashew nuts.
  2. A few raisins.
  3. A few almonds/ badam.

PANASA THONALU HALWA/ JACK FRUIT HALWA PREPARATION

  1. Heat ghee in a frying pan on low flame, roast the dry fruits until golden hue, drain to plate.
  2. In the same pan, add jack fruit pieces and saute for 5 minutes or till they turn to light golden.
  3. Add milk, cardamom pwd and sugar and saute again until it thickens and the ghee separates.
  4. Now add roasted dry fruits and serve hot.
