Hi guys!! this is my hubby’s one of the favorite dish :). I learned this recipe form my mother in law. if you like spicy gravies with chapaties or dosa then this recipe is obviously for you….!!

Yupp!! this curry is very hot n spicy..! it make a delicious combo with steamed rice, roties or any type of breakfast items..   🙂   🙂  .

Main ingredients: goat legs and spices.

Preparation and cook time: 30 minutes.

Serves: 4.

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Goat legs (2 sets). (neatly washed,  possible get cleaned from the store).
  2. 2 medium onions (chopped).
  3. 2-3 tbsp oil.
  4. 4 green chilies (chopped).
  5. Salt- to taste.
  6. 1 pinch turmeric pwd.
  7. 2 tsp red chilly pwd.
  8. 1 tbsp coriander pwd.
  9. chopped fresh coriander leaves (hand full).

ITEMS FOR MASALA PASTE:

  1. 1” ginger (chopped).
  2. 5-7 flakes garlic.
  3. 2 tbsp chopped coconut.
  4. 1 tbsp poppy seeds/ khas khas/ gasagasalu.
  5. 5 cloves/ lovng/ lavangalu.
  6. 1” cinnamon stick/ dalchini/ dalchina chekka.
  7. 1 cardamom/ elaichi/ yaluka.

PREPARATION:

  • In a mix jar, grind above mentioned (items for masala paste) items to a very fine paste.

  1. Heat oil in a small pressure cooker on medium flame.
  2. Put the leg bits along with salt, turmeric pwd, coriander pwd, ground masala paste and red chilly pwd and mix everything well.
  3. Let it cook, without lid for 7- 10 minutes or till the raw smell goes away.

  4. Now add chopped coriander leaves and 2 cups of water and mix.

  5. Cover with lid and pressure cook up to 7- 10 whistles or until done.

  6. Once the pressure releases, remove lid and simmer again until the gravy slightly thicken.

Serve hot with steamed rice, chapatti, idly or dosa.
