Main ingredients: cabbage, carrot and palin flour and corn flour.

Preparation: 10- 15 minutes and cook time: 15 minutes.

VEGETABLE DRY MANCHURIAN

INGREDIENTS  FOR MANCHURIAN BALLS:

  1. 1 cup grated cabbage.
  2. ¼ cup grated carrot.
  3. 2 tbsp plain flour (maida).
  4. 2 tbsp corn flour.
  5. Salt- to taste.
  6. ½ tsp ginger garlic paste.
  7. ½ tsp red chilly pwd.
  8.  ½ tsp garam masala pwd.
  9. 1 big pinch eating soda (soda bi carbonate).
  10. ¼ tsp food color (optional).
  11. Oil for deep frying.

TO PREPARE MANCHURIAN GRAVY:

  1. 1 tbsp butter or oil.
  2.  1 small onion (sliced).
  3. 2 green chilies (sliced).
  4. 1 tbsp sliced cabbage.
  5. Salt- to taste.
  6.  ½ tsp grated ginger.
  7. ½ tsp grated garlic.
  8. 1 tsp soya sauce.
  9. ½ tsp chilly sauce (optional).
  10. 1 tbsp vinegar.
  11. 2-3 tbsp tomato ketch up.
  12. ¼  tsp green chilly sauce or red chilly pwd.
  13. ¼ tsp garam massala pwd.
  14. 2 tbsp fresh chopped cilantro.
  15. 1 tsp  chopped spring onion greens (optional).

  1. By adding little water, mix all above ingredients together (except oil) to make a thick mixture.
  2. Mean while heat oil in a frying pan on medium flame.
  3.  Make small balls and drop slowly into the hot oil and deep fry till golden and crisp.
  4. Drain to a plate.

  2. Heat oil or butter in a wok on high flame.  Add grated ginger, grated garlic, sliced cabbage, sliced onion, sliced green chilies and saute for a few seconds.
  3. Add dilute tomato ketch up, red chilly pwd or chilly sauce, garam masala pwd, soya sauce, vinegar and cook for a minute.
  4. Now add prepared Manchurian balls and saute until the mixture thickens.

  5. Serve hot, garnished with cilantro and spring onion greens.
