  1. INGREDIENTS:
    Bengal gram/ urad dal/ minapa gullu (skin less) (wash and soak for 2-3 hours).
  2. Salt to taste.

  • grind the soaked black gram along with salt to smooth paste by adding very little water.

METHOD:

  1. Heat oil in a wide frying pan.
  2. To prepare vada, wet your palm, take big lemon sized batter in your palm, flatten to round shape and make hole in the center. (looking like a donut)

  3. Now slide the vada gently into the hot oil.

  4. Fry the vadas from both sides to golden hue.

  5. Drain on an absorbent paper and serve immediately with tomato chutney, coconut chutney or sambar.
