INGREDIENTS:

  1. 1 cup semiya/ vermicelli.
  2. 2 cups water.
  3. ½ cup sugar.
  4. 2-3 tbsp ghee.
  5. 1 big pinch yellowfood color/ kesari pwd.
  6. 10 cashew nuts (broken).
  7. 10 kishmis/ raisins.
  8. 1/ tsp cardamom pwd/ elaichi pwd/ yaluka pwd.

PREPARATION:

 

 

  1. Heat ghee in a nonstick cooking pan on low flame.

  2. Roast the cashew nuts and raisins, drain and keep aside.

  3. In the same pan, stir fry the semiya until golden hue. Drain and keep aside.
  4. Now add water and kesari pwd, in the same pan and bring it to a boil, then add roasted semiya and mix.

  5. Cook covered for 7- 10 minutes or till it turns to soft.

  6. Remove lid and add sugar stir occasionally until the mixture thickens.

  7. Now add raisins and cashew nuts and cardamom pwd and stir for a while.
