Main ingredients: leftover potato fry and gram flour.

  1. 1 cup potato fry.
  2. 1 cup gram flour/besan/sanaga pindi/ kadalai mavu.
  3. Salt- to taste.
  4. 1 big pinch Eating soda.
  5. Oil- for deep frying.

PREPARATION.

  1. Divide the potato curry into 7-10 round shape balls and keep aside.
  2. For the batter, mix the gram flour, eating soda and salt together, add enough water to make fine batter.
  3. The batter should be like thick dosa batter and it should be dropping consistency.

  1. Heat oil in a deep bottomed frying pan on over low flame.
  2. Dip the balls in the batter.
  3. Drop them gently in the hot oil.
  4. Deep fry till light golden hue.
  5. Drain and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
