INGREDIENTS:

  1. ¼ kg potatoes (par boiled, peeled then cubed).
  2. 2 tbsp Poppy seeds.
  3. Salt- to taste.
  4. 1 tbsp coriander pwd.
  5. ½  tsp garam masala pwd.
  6. ½ tsp red chilly pwd.
  7. SPICES: (1/4 “cinnamon stick + 2 cloves).
  8. 1 tbsp oil.

  • Grind the poppy seeds along with cinnamon stick and cloves to a powder. Keep aside until use.

METHOD:

  1. Heat oil in a frying pan on over low flame.

  2. Add par boiled potato cubes, salt and turmeric pwd and stir for 7- 10 minutes till the pieces turn to golden color and crispy.

  3. Add ground poppy seeds mixture, coriander pwd, red chilly pwd and garam masala pwd and stir for a while.

  4. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve hot as a side dish with rasam , sambar, or any dal.
