INGREDIENTS:

  1. 1 tbsp oil.
  2. 5-7 medium tomatoes (chopped).
  3. 2 tbsp peanuts.
  4. ½ bunch fresh cilantro (chopped).
  5. 4-5 green chilies.
  6. Small tamarind piece.
  7. Salt – to taste.
  8. 1 tsp Cumin seeds/ jeera/ jeelakarra.
  9. 2 flakes garlic.

PREPARATION:

  1. Heat oil in a frying pan on low flame, add the ground nuts and stir it becomes light brown and drain.

  2. In the same pan, add the green chilies and saute for a few seconds.
  3. Now add chopped tomato and cover with lid and simmer for 5-7 minutes or until tender.

  1. Remove fire and let it cool to room temperature.
  2. In a mix jar, put the peanuts along with cumin seeds, garlic flakes, tamarind piece and salt and grind to a course powder.IMG_5713

  3. Then add the tomato mixture and grind again to a course paste.

  4. Refrigerate and use as required.

Serve with dosa, idly, and rice.
