INGREDIENTS:

  1. 1 cup Bengal gram flour.
  2. Salt- to taste.
  3. 2 big pinches soda bi carbonate.
  4. 10- 12 bajji mirch/ green chilies (slit in the middle).
  5. Oil- enough to deep fry.
  6. And a little water.

  • To prepare the batter pour the gram flour along with salt, soda bi carbonate in a bowl and mix. Add enough water to make a batter of thick coating consistency (don’t use excess amount of water).

METHOD:

  1. Heat oil in a deep frying pan on medium flame. When the oil gets heated reduce flame.

  2. Dip each green chilly in the batter and coat on all sides as shown in the picture.

  3. Drop the dipped green chilies one by one in to the hot oil.

  4. Fry the bajjies in the pan till well browned and crisp on both sides.

  5. Drain on a tissue paper.
  6. Repeat with the rest of the batter to make the green chilies into mirch bajjies.
