Main ingredients: paneer and cashew nuts.

Cooking time: 25 minutes.

INGREDIENTS:

  1. 200 gm s Paneer. (cut into 1” cubes).
  2. 1 medium capsicum iesnto 1 ” cubes).
  3. 1 medium onion (chopped).
  4. 2 green chilies (chopped).
  5. 2 medium tomatoes (chopped).
  6. ½ tsp ginger garlic paste.
  7. Salt- to taste.
  8. 1 pinch sugar.
  9. 1 pinch turmeric pwd
  10. ½ tsp red chili pwd.
  11. 1 tbsp coriander pwd.
  12. ½ tsp garam masala pwd.
  13. ½ tsp cumin seeds pwd/ jeera/ jeelakarra.
  14. 2 tbsp s chopped cilantro.
  15. 1 tbsp s oil+ ½ tbsp butter.
  16. Ani seeds/somp/ soap (optional).
  17. 1 tbsp poppy seeds+ 10 -15 cashew nuts. (to prepare gravy).
  18. 1 and half cup water.

PREPARATION:

  1. Grind chopped onion along with green chilies and chopped tomato to a fine paste.
  2. Grind poppy seeds along with cashew nuts to a fine paste.

METHOD:

  1. Heat butter and oil in a cooking pan on medium flame, add ani seeds and ginger garlic paste and sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add ground onion paste, salt and turmeric powder and sauté for 5-7 minutes or until the oil separates.

  3. Add capsicum cubes and sauté until soften.

  4. Now add poppy seeds cashew nuts paste, sugar.cumin pwd, red chilly pwd, garam masala pwd, coriander pwd , chopped cilantro and stir fry for 2 minutes till the masala gets well fried. Add water and mix. Cook on low flame for 10 minutes till the curry reaches to required gravy consistency.

    Add paneer cubes and mix. Remove from fire and serve hot with roti, naan, or Frankie.
