INGREDIENTS:

  1. 1 cup rice flakes. (neatly washed and drained).
  2. 2 cups milk.
  3. 1 cup water.
  4. ½ cup sugar or to taste.
  5. ¼ tsp cardamom pwd.
  6. A few cashew nuts (chopped).
  7. A few almonds. (chopped).
  8. A few raisins.
  9. 1 tbsp ghee.
  10. A few saffron threads (soaked in 2 tbsp s warm water).

PREPARATION:

  • In a frying pan, fry the cashew nuts, almonds and raisins with ghee and keep aside.

Atukula Paramannam Preparation

  1. Bring milk to a boil in a cooking vessel.
  2. Add washed rice flakes (atukulu) and bring them to a boil.
  3. Now add sugar and mix. Stir occasionally until the sugar melt and the milk slightly thicken.
  4. Add cardamom powder, saffron milk, roasted cashew nuts, almonds and raisins and remaining ghee and mix.
  5. Transfer to a serving bowl.
