Main ingredients: green gram and split green gram (skin less).

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2 cup Green gram/ pesalu (soaked for 3 hours).
  2. 1 tsp raw rice (soaked for 3 hours).
  3. 1/4’’ piece ginger.
  4. 5Green chilies.
  5. Salt- to taste.
  6. Water (sufficient to make batter).
  7. Oil. (a few drops for each pesarattu).
  8. ¼ cup Split green gram (skin less). (Soaked for 45 minutes).

  1. Except oil and split green gram, grind all above ingredients in a mix jar into a smooth batter of dropping consistency. And keep a side.
  2. Heat a flat and thick tawa, pour in half a ladleful of batter and spread it with the back of the ladle into a 3”-4″ round.
  3.  Pour and spread 4 pesaratlu on the tawa.
  4. Spread the split green gram over them. Drizzle a few drops of oil and cook for a minute or two.

  5. Flip the pesaratlu and cook for a minute.
  6. Flip again and transfer into a serving plate.
