Main ingredients: roasted vermicelli.        Cooking time: 15 minutes.

INGREDIENTS:

  1. 1 cup Vermicelli. (roasted).
  2. 2 cups water.
  3. Salt to taste.
  4. 1 ½ tbsp oil.
  5. 1 tsp ghee.
  6. Cashew nuts- 10 (optional).
  7. 1 Small onion (chopped).
  8. 1 green chilly (cut into rounds).
  9. 1 tsp Cumin seeds.
  10. 1 tsp mustard seeds.
  11. 1 tsp split black gram (skin less).
  12. 10 curry leaves.

METHOD:

  1. Heat oil in a frying pan on medium flame, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, split black gram and cashew nuts. And let them splutter. Add curry leaves, chopped onion and green chilies and saute for a few seconds.

  2. Add water and salt. Bring it to a boil, pour roasted vermicelli and mix well. Reduce flame. Cover with lid. Let stand for 5-7 minutes or till the vermicelli is properly cooked.

  3.  Remove lid and add 1 tsp of ghee and sauté for a minute. Transfer into serving bowl.
