Main ingredients: mint and tomatoes.          Prepare time: 15 minutes.

Makes 1 cup.

INGREDIENTS:

  1. 2 bunches Mint/ pudeena. (Plucked and neatly washed).
  2. 5 medium tomatoes. (chopped).
  3. 7 green chilies.
  4. 2-3 cloves garlic.
  5. 1 tsp cumin seeds.
  6. Salt- to taste.
  7. 1 tsp tamarind pulp or small (bit).
  8. 1 tbsp Oil.

METHOD:

  1. Heat oil in a frying pan on medium flame. Add green chilies and sauté for a minute. Add plucked mint and sauté for 2 minutes.

  2. Add chopped tomatoes and fry for about 5 minutes to soften them. Cool for some time.

    Grind cumin seeds, salt, cloves garlic and tamarind to a course.

  4. Add the fried mixture (tomato, green chilies and mint) and grind to a course paste.

serve with rice, dosa, bonda, punugulu or any type of break fasts.

Refrigerate and use as required.
