I’m Sabitha’s brother, VASU. Just wanted to share some of my recipes on my sister’s food blog. Hope you enjoy them.

This Gobi Masala is one of my wife’s favorite dish. So, any small opportunity will get me cooking this delicious and healthy vegetable item. Also, this is one of the easiest recipes that you can make on a relaxed Saturday morning.

Cooking time:  30 minutes

Serves : 2 people

IngredientsGobi Masala

  1. 1 medium-size Gobi cut into Florets
  2. 2 medium-size Potatoes
  3. 1 cup of Fresh Green Peas
  4. 1 medium-size Tomatoes
  5. 1/2 bunch Cilantro
  6. 1 tbsp Ginger Paste
  7. 4 Green Chillies sliced into small pieces
  8. 5 Curry Leaves
  9. 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  10. 1 tbsp fennel seeds
  11. Salt to Taste
  12. 2 tbsp Oil
  13. 1/4 tbsp Turmeric Powder
  14. 2 tbsp Coriander powder

Cooking Instructions

  1. Cook cauliflower florets and potatoes in the boiling water for 10 minutes, remove the florets and potatoes with a strainer, put them aside.
  2. Heat pan and pour oil and spread evenly on high heat for a couple minutesGobi Masala
  3. Add cumin and fennel seeds
  4. After 1 minute, add curry leaves and stir the mix for a couple of minutes
  5. Add turmeric powder, salt and stir the mix
  6. Add ginger paste and stir the mix for a minute
  7. Add tomatoes and cilantro, stir the mix well, close the lid and cook for 4 minutes.Gobi MasalaGobi Masala
  8. Remove lid and add peas, coriander powder. Stir the mix and leave it cooking on low flame.IMG_0119
  9. After 3 minutes, add the cooked cauliflower florets along with the potatoes, mix them well and cook for 5 minutes.Gobi Masala
