PERUGU RASAM SERVING BOWL

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Curd- 1 cup.
  2. Salt- to taste.
  3. Onion-I (finely chopped).
  4. Green chillies- 2 (thin sliced).
  5. Turmeric powder- 1 pinch.
  6. Red chilly powder- 2 pinches.
  7. Coriander leaves- ½ bunch. (finely chopped).

FOR SEASONING:

  1. Oil- 1 tea spoon.
  2. Mustard seeds/rai/ aavaalu – ½ tsp.
  3. Red chilly-1 (tear in to 3 pieces).
  4. Split black gram/urad dal/ minappappu/ 1 tsp.
  5. Cumin seeds/ jeera/ jeelakarra- ½ tsp.
  6. Curry leaves-1 sprig.

    PREPARATION:

    • Combine curd along with chopped onion, sliced green chillies, salt, turmeric powder, red chilly powder and chopped coriander leaves into a bowl.
    • To make tempering heat oil in a small frying pan, add red chilly, mustard seeds, cumin seeds and split black gram, and let them splutter add curry leaves and turn off flame. Add this to the curd mixture and mix. Tasty curd rasam is ready to serve.
