TAMILNADU STYLE DOSA BATTER  BOWL

INGREDIENTS:

  1. black gram (Skin less)/urad dal -50 grams (1 small cup).
  2. Boiled rice- 150 grams (3 small cups).
  3. Raw rice- 50 grams.
  4. Salt -to taste.
  5. Water – sufficient to make batter.

DOSA BATTER PREPARATION:

  • Soak the boiled rice and raw rice in a vessel for 2-3 hours.
  • Soak the skin less black gram in another vessel for 2-3 hours.
  • Grind the boiled rice, raw rice and black gram along with little water in to a fine paste. Set aside for 5-6 hours for fermenting.

Add salt before using the batter.

TIPS:

  • Add soaked beaten rice and soaked dill, while grinding the batter in order to make nice color and soft dosas.
