ANDHRA STYLE DOSA BATTER  BOWL

INGREDIENTS:

  1. black gram (skin less)/urad dal/ minapappu- 50 gms.  (1small cup).
  2. Raw rice-200 gms. (4small cups).
  3. Boiled rice- 50 gms. (1small cup).
  4. Salt- to taste.
  5. Water-sufficient to make batter.

    DOSA BATTER PREPARATION:

    • Soak raw rice and boiled rice in a vessel for 2-3 hours.
    • Soak skin less black gram (urad dal) in another vessel for 2- 3 hours.
    • Grind boiled rice, raw rice and  skin less black gram along with little water into a fine paste. Set aside for 5-6 hours for fermenting.

    Add salt before using the batter.

    TIPS:

    • Add soaked beaten rice and soaked dill, while grinding the batter in order to make nice colored and soft dosas.
