INGREDIENTS:

  1. Black gram (skin less)/ urad dal/ minappappu- 50 gms.
  2. Rice semolina (idli rawa)-200 gms.
  3. Salt- to taste.
  4. Water- sufficient to make batter.
  5. Soaked black gram (skin less) and soaked rice semolina (idly rawa)

    BATTER  PREPARATION:

    1. First soak  the urad dal (black gram (skin less) in a bowl for 2-3 hours.
    2. Grind the urad dal in to a soft batter and keep a side.

    3.   In another bowl, take rice semolina, wash it with water and                         squeeze out the water with hands and drop the rawa into that                     urad batter.

    1. Mix them very well and keep aside for 5-6 hours for fermenting.
    2. Add salt before using the batter.

      With this batter you can make nice and soft idlies.
