INGRDIENTS:

  1. Prawns- ½ kg.  (neately washed along with salt and turmeric powder and drained).
  2. Salt- to taste.
  3. Turmeric powder- 1 big pinch.
  4. Onion- 1 medium (chopped).
  5. Green chillies-2 (chopped).
  6. Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp.
  7. Red chilly  powder-1 – 1 ½ tea spoon.
  8. Coriander powder- 1 tea spoon.
  9. Curd- 1 tbsp.
  10. Coriander leaves- 2-4 tbsp.
  11. Tomato-1 (choppped).
  12. Coconut – small piece (chopped).
  13. Water- 1-2 cups.
  14. Prawns masala powder- 1tsp. or (spices-6 cloves, ½ inch cinnamon stick, 1 cardamom  and 1 tsp. poppy seeds).
  15. Oil- 2-3 tbsp.

16.  Coriander leaves-4 tbsp. (chopped).

Preparation:

Grind chopped onion and green chillies in to a course paste.

Grind chopped coconut pieces along with all above spices,  into a fine paste.

Heat oil in a non-stick cooking pan on medium heat. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté. Add onion and green chilly paste and stir fry till the paste turn to golden colour. Add prawns, salt and turmeric powder and combine. Let it cook for 5-7 minutes or till the oil separates.

Add coconut paste and tomato paste and sauté for a minute. Then add coriander powder, curd, prawns masala powder, red chiiy powder and water and mix it well. Cover with lid and let it cook for 15-20 minutes or till the prawns are almost cooked. Turn off when you get the required gravy consistency.
