INGREDIENTS:

  1. Paneer- 200- 300 grams. (cut into cubes).
  2. Onion-1 (chopped).
  3. Tomato -2 (chopped).
  4. Green chillies-2 (chopped).
  5. Coriander leaves-1 cup (chopped).
  6. Anise-1 tea spoon.
  7. Salt- to taste.
  8. Oil- 3 table spoons.
  9. Turmeric powder- 1 big pinch.
  10. Garam  masala powder-1 tea spoon.
  11. Red chilli powder-1 tea spoon.
  12. Coriander powder-1 table spoon.
  13. Ginger garlic paste- 1 tea spoon.
  14. Poppy seeds-1 table spoon.
  15. Cashew nuts-15.
  16. Water- 2 cups.

PREPARATION:

  1. Grind poppy seeds along with cashew nuts in a mix jar into a fine paste and set aside.

2.  Grind onion pieces and tomato pieces into a course paste. Keep aside

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:

Heat oil in a non stick cooking pan on simmer. Add anise, onion paste and sauté for 2 minutes.  Add ginger garlic paste, chopped green chillies, turmeric powder and salt and fry for 5-7 minutes.

Add tomato paste and sauté for 5 minutes or till oil begins separate

Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, cashew nuts paste and water, and mix it well. Let them cook for 5-10 minutes or the mixture reaches the desired gravy consistency.

Now add paneer pieces, and chopped coriander leaves and butter,  and sauté  for a minute. And serve hot with   pulka, chapatti, pulav, puri and rice.
