Ingredients:

  1. Red gram dal- ½ cup(100 gms), (boil it and then grind it).
  2. Onion-(cut into big pieces).
  3. Tomatoes-(cut into pieces).
  4. Green chillies-2 (cut into 2 long pieces).
  5. Drumstick-(cut into pieces).
  6. Curry leaves-10.
  7. Coriander leaves-1/2 bunch. (cut into small pieces).
  8. Tamarind-2 pieces or (lemon size) .  (extract juice in 1 cup of water).
  9. Salt- to taste.
  10. Red chilli powder-3/4 -1 tbSp.
  11. Oil-1 tea spoon.
  12. Turmeric powder- 1 big pinch.
  13. Coriander powder-1 tbsp.
  14. Sugar-1/2 tsp.
  15. Water-2+5 cups. (2 for boiling), (5 for cooking).

FOR TEMPERING

  1. Mustards seeds-1 tsp.
  2. Split black gram -1tsp.
  3. Red chillies-2. (cut into two pieces).
  4. Asafoetida-2 pinches.

5. Garlic flakes-2 (crushed).

Preparation:

  1. Wash the red gram dal neatly. Pour 2 cups of water init.
  2. Now keep this in the pressure cooker until 3 whistles comes.
  3. Take the boiled red gram dal in a mix jar, and grind it softly. And keep a side.

Heat oil in a small pan. Add red chilli pieces, crushed garlic flakes , mustard  seeds, split black gram, cumin seeds, asafoetida. And let them splutter. Add curry leaves and fry for 5 seconds. Keep it a side

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Take same small pressure and add mashed dal, tempering , remaining ingredients, and all vegetable pieces. And mix it well.
