INGREDIENTS:

  1. Ladies finger: ¼ kg.
  2. Salt-to taste.
  3. Onion- 1 (chopped).
  4. Green chillies-2 (cut into small pieces).
  5. Bengal gram flour-  2 table spoons/ chana dal/ sanaga pindi.
  6. Red chilli powder-1/2 table spoon.

FOR TEMPERING:

  1. Oil-2-3 table spoons.
  2. Cumin seeds-1/2 tea spoon / jeera / jeelakarra.
  3.  Mustard seeds-1/2 tea spoon/ Ria/ aavalu.
  4. Split black gram (skin less) -1/2 tea spoon/urad dal/ minappappu.
  5. Turmeric powder-1 pinch./ Haldi/ pasupu.

    COOKING INSTRUCTIONS.

    Heat oil in a frying pan on simmer. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, split black gram, and allow them to splutter. Now  add curry leaves . suate for few seconds.  Add chopped onions and green chilli pieces and sauté for 5 seconds.

    Now add ladies finger pieces, turmeric powder,  salt and fry  ( without crushing ) for 15-20 minutes or till the pieces turns light brown.

    Then add red chilli powder, and  gram flour and sauté for  a minute.  Serve hot with roti or rice.
