After a good meal, it would be really nice to have a great dessert. My hubby and kids love Pineapple so I guess today is the day for some Pineapple “Halva”. A little tidbit for you folks – halva is a arabic word which means “sweet”.

Ingredients:

  1. Pineapple – 1
  2. Sugar – 200 grams
  3. Cashew nuts – 20
  4. Almonds – 10
  5. Raisins – 10
  6. Elachi – 3 ( powdered )
  7. Salt – 2 pinches
  8. Ghee – 100 to 200 grams.
  9. Milk – 500 ml

Preparation:

  1. Pour milk in the pan and boil it until the quantity reduces by half.
  2. Peel the pine apple and remove the center stem.
  3. Use a grater and grate the pineapple into fine pieces.
  4. In a frying pan, fry cashews, almonds and raisins, one by one.

Cooking Instructions :

Take out the fried cashews, almonds and raisins and in the left over oil, fry the Pineapple fine grated pieces.

After 10 minutes, pour the boiled mik and sugar in the mixture and stir it.

After 5 minutes, add fried cashews, almonds, raisins and salt.  Turn off the heat and let the mixture stay warm.

Take out the mixture into serving bowls and ENJOY !
