Nothing screams “Andhra Cuisine”  like an authentic spicy chicken curry. This is my grandma’s recipe so you guys are in for a treat today.  It’s very easy to prepare the only secret to making this to use very fresh ingredients.

Ingredients:

  1. onions – 1 ( cut into small pieces )
  2. Chicken – 1/4 kg
  3. coconut – half
  4. Green Chillies – 4
  5. Coriander leaves – 1 bunch
  6. Water – 2 cups
  7. Ginger Garlic paste – 1tbsp
  8. Salt – to taste.
  9. Turmeric powder – 2 pinches.
  10. Red Chili powder – 1 tbsp
  11. Mutton masala powder – 1 tbsp
  12. Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
  13. poppy seeds – 1 tbsp
  14. Oil – 3 tbsp

Preparation :

Cut coconut into small pieces and then put them along with poppy seeds in a mixture and grind it to a fine paste.

Cooking Instructions :

Put oil in a wide pan and after the oil gets to medium heat, put the onion pieces and green chili pieces and cook them until the onions get to a golden brown hue. Then add Ginger Garlic paste.

When you get a nice aroma ( which means the mixture is well cooked ), Add chicken pieces, salt and turmeric powder. Mix this well.

After about 5 to 10 minutes, all the water from the chicken will evaporate then add coconut poppy seed paste, red chili paste, coriander powder and water.  Mix this mixture well.

After about 10 to 15 minutes, add coriander leaves, mutton masala powder and mix it well.
